Manly, Manlier, The Manliest… Colours and Sons AW16 Collection Now In Store

Manly, manlier, the manliest…

The Autumn Winter 2016 collection of Colours and Sons is entirely dedicated to the theme “Urban Lumberjack” and brings the “lumberjack look” directly into the big city. In times in which an androgynous clothing style keeps gaining more and more importance and popularity, they want to bring the necessary amount of self-confidence and masculinity back on the streets, supported by pithy, modern types, natural materials and subdued colours: the essence of the collection!

The upcoming winter collection offers a wide variety of products that are underscored by their usual fashionable fit and the discreet love for detail. Even more attention is drawn to strong product groups, such as knitwear, shirts, sweat and pants, and expansion of the jacket assortment. One of the most successful articles and all-time favourite “down”, which has been added in the trendy bomber look for the first time, is complemented by trend themes such as pithy woollen reefer jackets and weatherproof fishtail parkas.

The key shirt collection is made up of nearly 50 different designs from light flannel lumberjack plaid, via coloured Oxford basics through to woven structures and finest prints with the added special washing processes to create the enormously important soft feel and a casual, masculine look.

Knitwear is styled from simple basic right up to rough 3gg woolen cardigans or merino sweaters in camo print design. The natural qualities ranging from soft to robust cotton, lambswool and merino match the natural character of the collection and are spiced up by tweed and heather look Norwegian designs and all-over prints.

To complete the layered look, casual and slim fit lambswool and cotton jackets layer on top and chino and cargo pants layer on the bottom.  The collection is topped off with wintry t-shirts and polos in uni colours and prints.

Colours are natural and harmonious encompassing Autumn shades of chianti and saffron complemented by the trend colour petrol to give the dark season optimistic and warm accents. Denim continues to play a major role through all product groups.
